GenCon Oz Part 4

This is Part 4 of my day at GenCon Oz on Sunday 6 July 2008. Here are links to Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

It was midday and I'd just finished playing a game of Cheng Chang. As I was leaving the boardgame area I couldn't help but notice the giant Jenga game that was set up and available for anyone to play for free.

The giant Jenga game early in the day. In the background is the miniatures painting area.

I passed that Jenga game several times during my day at GenCon Oz. Just about every time I walked past there was a different group of people playing it.

Some serious Jenga-stacking going on here.

Circling the teetering tower searching for the right brick to remove.

The giant Jenga game was a great addition to the boardgame area and considering it was just a stack of orange cardboard boxes it proved very popular.

This group were looking to build a multi-story Stonehenge replica - on a table no less!

My only regret it that I didn't get a chance to play (or crash-tackle - that would have been fun!) this giant Jenga game.

I decided to take a bit of a wander around to see what else GenCon Oz had to offer.

Part 5 tomorrow.

Hi Stephanie. Yes your creation was impressive. Are you in the photo? Were your group cosplayers? At least one of the people in that photo was in costume.
